Races for kindergarteners
- participation: free, only registration is required;
- registration:
- in advance at Esztergom kindergartens, between 2 and 20 September,
- by e-mail at esztergomifutomuvek@gmail.com, specifying name and year of birth,
- limited numbers in the competition centre between 9:30 and 10:00,
- pre-registration helps us, the organizers, so that we can prepare and that everyone with small feet can get the gifts; - plaque, chocolate, fruit, soft drink for all participants at the finish line.
Relays
- the first runner of a pair of half marathon runners can also be an individual half marathon runner;
- the changing place for those completing the half-marathon in pairs will be set up in the start/finish zone (the square in front of the Basilica);
- the distances of the relay are approx. the same, the first section has a mixed road surface - cobblestone, asphalt, gravel road and dirt road - with a bit of terrain, the second section is mostly flat asphalt, only at the end there is a small cobblestone climb.
Olympic pentathlon
- Our event is also one of the point collection stations of the Pentathlon program!
Anyone who participates in our event as a registered Pentathlon racer will be enriched with points depending on the completed distance - and these can be redeemed for guaranteed rewards over time.
It is important not to forget to enter your Pentathlon ID number when entering, only in this case can we verify your completion. - If you are not yet a Pentathlon racer, but would like to become one and would like to start collecting points with us, you can register for it here: https://otprobaparizsba.hu/
- Number of points that can be obtained: 4 points for the 21 km distance, 2 points for the 10.5 km distance (also relay).
Route
PLANNED (may change depending on permits): Szent István tér - down the ramp from the square in front of the Basilica, then turn left on the road in front of Szent István square, Balassa School - Papnevelde street - Molnár sor - Berényi Zsigmond street - Pázmány Péter street - Liszt Ferenc street - Little Danube Promenade – Sobieski Promenade – on the cycle lane, to the turning point measured according to the distance – back to cycle lane – Berényi Zsigmond street – Molnár row – Papnevelde street – Szent István square (on the road in front of Balassa School) – on the right side of the ramp up to the finish line in front of the Basilica

Conditions of participation
- acceptance of the rules of the competition;
- valid registration;
- knowledge of the particularities of the competition (cobbled road section, running back and forth on a narrow cycle lane);
- appropriate preparation for the chosen distance.
Registration
- online between 10 May and 15 September, or until the limits are reached;
- on-site entry on the day of the competition between 9:00 and 10:30, subject to availability;
- the entry is successful if you are on the start list and you have received the confirmation letter - if any of them is missing, email -> esztergomifutomuvek@gmail.com.
Cancellation of the registration
- only by e-mail, with a letter sent to the address esztergomifutomuvek@gmail.com and by specifying the bank account number until the registration closes (until midnight on September 15);
- in this case, the paid entry fee will be returned after deducting HUF 500 handling costs;
- the entry fee cannot be transferred to another competition;
Transfer of registration
- transfer of starting right only by e-mail (esztergomifutomuvek@gmail.com) until midnight on September 20;
- the transfer must be declared as a cancellation of the entry by e-mail by providing all the recipient's data that was necessary for registration (see confirmation e-mail);
- from September 21, modifications are only possible on site;
- after September 5, we can no longer change shirt sizes;
- transferring the entry and start number to another person without changing the registration is prohibited!
Modifying the distance
- change of distance only by e-mail (esztergomifutomuvek@gmail.com) until midnight on September 15, subject to availability;
- please transfer the entry fee difference (if any) to the following account number:

- notice: race distance/name/year
- unannounced, unidentifiable transfers are treated as donations, thank you very much! - from 16 September, changes are only possible on site, also subject to availability.
Force majeure
- In case the competition has to be cancelled due to reasons beyond the control of the organizers (epidemic, flood, natural disaster, etc.) before September 1, 2024, the competitors can choose from two options:
- they request a refund of the entry fee (HUF 500 handling fee will be deducted);
- 100% of the entry fee can be used in the next year's competition (2025). - If the competition has to be cancelled due to reasons beyond the control of the organizers (epidemic, flood, natural disaster, etc.) on or after September 2, 2024, the organizers will not refund the entry fee, 75% of the paid entry fees can be used in the next year's competition (2025).

- Half marathon: the first three male and female participants in every age group are rewarded;
- Half marathon in relay pairs: the first three male and female and mixed teams are rewarded;
- 14 and 7 km: the first three male and female participants are rewarded;
- special prize for the oldest male and female performer.

First-aid
- a qualified paramedic is on standby at the competition centre during the competition;
- participants should note that since part of the route is unlit or cobbled roads, therefore they are more prone to accidents;
- every participant has the duty to pay particular attention to his own health and that of other participants and, if necessary, to help his fellow sportsman who may have had an accident.
Dressing room, values storage
- changing facilities and toilets in the race centre;
- values storage at the same place;
- the organiser takes no responsibility for valuables placed in packages!
Competition rules
- By registering online, each participant accepts the contents of the competition notice, the cooperation of the organizer and abides by the rules of the competition.
- By registering, the competitor acknowledges that he is healthy and starts at his own risk. He is both physically and mentally prepared for the chosen distance, he is aware of its length and difficulties.
- The data provided during registration correspond to reality, and the competitor consents to their storage in the association's database and their use at the events. You also consent to the director sending a newsletter to the given email address.
- The organised assumes no responsibility for any inconvenience caused by incomplete submission or by providing inappropriate data.
- Age limit: 7 years of age for the 10 km distance,14 years of age for the 14 km distance, 16 years of age for the 21 km distance (under 18 requires written parental consent).
- The start number must be worn clearly on the front. The organizers are not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect start numbers.
- It is forbidden to roller skate, cycle, run without a starting number or run with a dog during the race. The competitor acknowledges that in case of violation of these rules, he/she will be immediately disqualified from the competition.
- The race route of the Esztergom Half Marathon (narrow cycle path, cobbled slope and ascent) is not suitable for racing in wheelchairs and strollers.
- Competitors who do not complete the entire distance, deviate from the designated route, or show unsportsmanlike behaviour towards fellow competitors will be disqualified from the competition.
- The organizers reserve the right to stop the race or change the distance due to weather problems and/or safety reasons. The race route may change in case of flooding.
- The organiser reserves the right to take photos and films of the competition and the contestants, which will remain the property of the organiser and may be used freely for his own advertising activities and publications. The people in the photos and films are not entitled to compensation.
- Any commercial and advertising activities at the event location may only be carried out with the prior permission of the organizer, in an agreed form and manner.
